Mackie Myers is partnering with a high-growth consumer goods business to hire an Accounting Manager for its US finance team.The business is continuing to scale and is looking for someone who can bring strong technical accounting knowledge, structure, and discipline to a growing finance function.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, improving processes, and helping build a finance team that can support the next stage of growth.The RoleSupporting month-end and year-end closePreparing and reviewing reconciliations, accruals, journals, and supporting schedulesAssisting with financial reporting and management reportingEnsuring accounting processes are accurate, well controlled, and aligned with US GAAPSupporting audit preparation and external reporting requirementsHelping improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controlsPartnering with finance and wider business teams to improve accuracy and visibilityIdentifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting, and financial disciplineSupporting ad hoc projects as the business continues to growCandidate Profile5+ years of accounting experienceBig 4 or top-tier public accounting experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting principlesExperience working with complex, fast-growth, or larger corporate environmentsStrong close, reconciliation, reporting, and controls experienceExperience supporting audits or operating in a high-accountability finance environmentExcellent attention to detail and strong documentation standardsA proactive, hands-on approachThe confidence to improve processes and challenge where neededConsumer goods, food and beverage, retail, or inventory-based experience would be beneficial
