Required Skills Valid New York State Medical License Board Certification in Surgery Minimum of 2 years recent, relevant surgical experience Proficiency in EPIC electronic charting system Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity setting Nice to Have Skills Experience with EPIC platform Prior experience in a Level 1 Perinatal Center, Stroke Center, or DNV Accredited Facility Additional certifications in specialized surgical procedures Preferred Education and Experience Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Proven track record of surgical excellence in acute care settings At least 2 years of recent practice in a hospital environment Other Requirements Availability for a 24-hour call shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM on specified dates Must comply with hospital dress code, grooming, and hygiene protocols Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism Overtime must be approved in advance No cell phone use during shifts; devices should be stored in lockers Must wear identification badges at all times This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $2,216.76, along with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program.
