LITIGATION PARALEGALOverviewThis position provides comprehensive support to attorneys handling sophisticated, high-volume litigation matters. Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of a case, including research, drafting, court filings, trial readiness, and in-court assistance. The role primarily supports complex product-related and multi-party litigation matters and requires flexibility for overtime and extended travel.Key ResponsibilitiesTrial Readiness and Courtroom SupportAssist with pre-trial preparation and provide hands-on support during proceedingsOrganize and maintain trial binders, exhibits, and witness-related materialsLiaise with external litigation support vendors, including presentation and graphics teamsManage courtroom and war room technology setup, equipment coordination, and troubleshootingArrange and coordinate travel, accommodations, and related logistics for trial teamsTrack and manage witness availability, exhibits, and other trial logisticsSupport attorneys in real time during hearings and trial, including document and exhibit retrievalPrepare demonstratives, exhibit and witness lists, and associated court submissionsAssist with trial presentations, including slide development, graphics, and media integrationUtilize and maintain proficiency with trial presentation software and related toolsLitigation and Matter ManagementSupport all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-trial or appellate mattersHandle administrative and organizational tasks across multiple active casesReview and apply applicable court rules, local practices, and filing proceduresProofread, cite-check, and format briefs and legal documents in accordance with required standardsEffectively manage competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDiscovery and Deposition SupportCoordinate large-scale document collection, review, and production effortsPrepare deposition notices and subpoenas; organize exhibits, transcripts, summaries, and tracking logsAssist attorneys with preparation for fact and expert depositionsDocument, Research, and Filing FunctionsManage both electronic and physical case materials using internal and client-specific systemsAssist with transcript organization and management using litigation support platformsUtilize eDiscovery and case management software for document review and trial preparationConduct legal research using recognized legal research databases and online toolsPrepare and file documents electronically in federal courts using approved filing systemsCollaboration, Technology, and ProfessionalismStay current on litigation technology and apply tools that enhance efficiency and collaborationAssign tasks to and oversee project assistants or temporary support staff as neededInteract professionally with attorneys, clients, and colleagues at all levelsCommunicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal communicationsPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by attorneys or litigation teamsCompensation and BenefitsCompensation varies by geographic location and is determined by market conditions, experience, skills, and education. Eligible employees may participate in a bonus program and comprehensive benefits package.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceRequired:Bachelor's degree with a strong academic recordAt least three years of experience working as a paralegalPrior experience in a law firm environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation support or eDiscovery platformsPreferred:Writing sample submitted with applicationExperience supporting multi-district litigation or life sciences mattersBackground in mass tort litigationExperience handling and organizing medical recordsExperience managing large or complex case mattersParalegal certificate from an ABA-accredited programSkills and AbilitiesExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracySound judgment and discretion when handling confidential informationStrong interpersonal and professional communication skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentAbility to perform effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlinesCapacity to manage multiple matters with competing prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, review, and organize legal documentsTechnical proficiency with document creation tools and standard litigation support software
