Operations intern - Paid 20 hrs / week / Hybrid Become‌ ‌part‌ ‌of‌ ‌an‌ ‌exciting‌, young‌, and ‌fast‌ ‌growing‌ ‌non-profit‌ ‌organization‌, Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation (KCCF). Founded‌ ‌by‌ an 11-year-old (now 15) ‌ cancer ‌ ‌ survivor ‌ ‌ and ‌ ‌ visionary ‌ ‌ Elana ‌ ‌Koenig. KCCF provides life-saving financial and emotional support to kids battling cancer and their families.Position Description:This position requires exceptional organizational and project management skills, along with the ability to work independently. Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills are essential. You must reside within a commutable distance to Manhattan, with the opportunity to work remotely when not in the office. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector and has the potential to develop into a full-time leadership position.Salary commensurate with experience.Key Responsibilities:Act as the point of contact among executives, beneficiaries, employees, volunteers, donors and other partners. Manage information flow to ensure timeliness and accuracy.Act as an office manager by keeping up with software and hardware updates, inventory, and office filing.Format/edit information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports, take minutes during meetingsManage new and existing fundraising projects and programs; keep track of deadlines, follow up and update databases.Assist in managing a Volunteer Team (Between 1-10 volunteers).Update and distribute policies and procedures, marketing materials, social media, website, assist with light graphic design work/ content editing.Assist with the execution of the existing programs while conducting research to suggest improvements.Qualifications:Associates Degree or Relevant CertificationCandidates should be within commuting distance and able to commute 2-3 times weekly to the Manhattan Office location. Strong written and verbal communication skills.Entrepreneurial Spirit Excellent computer technical skills (familiarity with Monday.com is a plus)Experience in the nonprofit sector is preferredWhy Work with Us?Making a Difference - Direct impact of your work on community we help - help save lives!
