Accountant

Job Description Key Responsibilities:● Follow up and make collections and allocation of payments.● Carry out billing, collections and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.● Reconciliation of Accounts.● Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.● Maintain Accounts Receivable customer files.● Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.● Investigate and resolve customer queries.● Process Adjustments.● Organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.● Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.● Provide support to the Sr. Accountant, Controller and CFO.● General Ledger account analysis.● Assist in month end close.● Assist in various audits.● Create journal entries.● Pay VA Fees and Monthly Mortgage Insurance.● Manage Principal, Impounds and Upfront MIP accounts.● Facilitate Impound variance collections and payments.● Create and maintain internal reports.● Cross-training with other accounting staff to provide coverage and assistance when necessary.Company DescriptionSun West Mortgage Company, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
