Wastewater & Chemical Maintenance SupervisorIndustrial Manufacturing | Metal Plating OperationsLafayette, IN | On-Site | Full-TimeAbout the CompanyPrevail Recruiting is partnered with a well-established industrial manufacturing company with over 50 years of operational success, strong customer relationships, and continued investment in growth and infrastructure.This facility operates in a highly technical plating and chemical processing environment and is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee chemical maintenance, wastewater systems, environmental compliance, and production support operations.Position OverviewThe Wastewater & Chemical Maintenance Supervisor will lead daily chemical maintenance operations across production while supporting environmental compliance, equipment reliability, and plant uptime.This role combines hands-on troubleshooting, team leadership, wastewater oversight, and plating chemistry management within a fast-paced industrial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise chemical maintenance and support production personnelMaintain plating tank chemistry, dosing systems, and batch treatmentsOversee wastewater treatment processes and environmental inspectionsManage hazardous waste handling and compliance (RCRA, DOT, OSHA)Maintain chemical inventory and storage proceduresTroubleshoot and maintain pumps, filtration systems, and chemical transfer equipmentSupport preventative maintenance programs and rapid equipment repairEnsure compliance with safety standards, PPE protocols, and environmental regulationsMaintain logs, reporting, inspections, and operational documentationCoordinate safe receiving, storage, and movement of industrial chemicalsQualifications5+ years of experience in industrial chemical operations, plating, wastewater, or manufacturing maintenanceStrong understanding of plating chemistry and chemical process systemsExperience with industrial or municipal wastewater treatment systemsKnowledge of OSHA, RCRA, HAZWOPER, and environmental compliance standardsExperience troubleshooting industrial pumps and chemical transfer systemsFamiliarity with PLC or SCADA systems preferredPrior leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing environmentsStrong organizational and troubleshooting abilitiesMicrosoft Office and reporting experience requiredForklift certification or ability to obtain preferredWastewater Treatment License (Class C preferred)Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 DOEPerformance BonusMedical, Dental, Vision401(k) with Company ContributionGas Card / Company Support PerksPTO & Paid HolidaysLong-Term Career GrowthWhy Join?Stable 50+ year-old companyStrong long-term customer baseLeadership opportunity with operational impactTeam-oriented environment with long-tenured employeesGrowing organization investing in operations and infrastructureQualified candidates are encouraged to apply with a current resume.
