Controller

*ACCOUNTING CONTROLLER* The Controller is accountable for the accounting operations of the company. The Controller will drive financial initiatives, develop standard costs, and perform variance and cost analysis. They will provide financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results. The Controller will provide data, communication, counsel, advise and recommendations to assist plant management in making business decisions to reduce cost and improve profits. * *Responsibilities Include:* * · Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the flow and design of the department. * · Prepare annual budgets. * · Maintain accurate financial in compliance with GAAP. * · Prepare reports on a daily, weekly and monthly company cash flow. * · Oversee payables to ensure that accounts payable are paid according to agreements and in a timely manner. * · Oversee receivables to ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly. * · Maintain chart of accounts and keep developing as needed. * · Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. * · Work closely with operations to ensure inventory accuracy. * · Maintain fixed assets. * · Reconcile general ledger accounts. * · Prepare journal entries. · Update forecasts to accurately project revenues, expenses, and cash. Manage all IRS and tax reporting, including reporting for organization tax exempt status. · Work closely with CFO, executive team, and partners to facilitate efficient and effective operation. · Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team to ensure that the financial, accounting, and reporting needs are met to support the management team in achieving the company’s goals and objectives. · In-charge of margin management and control to ensure consistency of margins. *Required Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field of study, MBA or CPA preferable * 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent trough different experience. * Strong knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting required. * Outstanding ability to communicate, motivate and partner with business operation leaders * Proficient in all Microsoft applications especially in Excel and Power Points (pivot tables, vlookup, filters). * Technical ability to work with large data sets from multiple systems and make good business judgement when necessary * Good communication skills and comfortable working with employees at differing levels * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail * Deep understanding of general accounting principles & essential financial reporting for P&L and balance sheet (accruals, pre-paids, capital expenditures) * Strong work ethic with a collaborative attitude and confident written and verbal communicator * Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines while delivering consistent, accurate and reliable work *Preferred Qualifications:* * Working knowledge of SAGE * Industry experience in food manufacturing Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Vision insurance Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
