Workers Compensation Attorney
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in workers' compensation law, along with comprehensive experience across various legal disciplines including personal injury, litigation, and legal research. Duties
Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution, ensuring compliance with all legal standards and deadlines.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers, employers, and other parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings related to workers' compensation claims.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation, medical records, and evidence pertinent to their cases.
Stay informed about updates in workers' compensation law as well as related fields such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, patent law, and legal administrative practices.
Maintain accurate case files and ensure all case activities are documented properly within the law office management system.
Provide legal advice on related issues that may impact workers’ compensation claims or client interests.
Experience
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience practicing workers' compensation law is required; familiarity with personal injury law, litigation, and legal research is highly desirable.
Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through successful case resolutions or settlement negotiations.
Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with legal drafting and writing skills essential.
Prior legal administrative experience preferred to efficiently manage case workflows.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex laws and regulations across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, patent law.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
