Through this compounding intelligence loop, Unity generates recurring revenue across B2B, B2C, and Marketplace channels while building the infrastructure layer for the next generation of connected, AI-enabled care delivery.The role:We are looking for a backend engineer who can help architect, deploy, and scale the cloud infrastructure and API systems that power our platform. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, you will take systems from design to production, and your work will have a direct effect on how care is delivered. You will work closely with a small, senior engineering team, make decisions that matter, and be expected to lead technically and not just execute.What You’ll Build:· Backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js· Production infrastructure on AWS· CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment workflows with Docker and GitHub Actions· AI-powered integrations including LLM API connections and intelligent workflow routing· HIPAA-compliant data pipelines handling protected health information· Secure authentication systems and microservices· Monitoring, logging, and operational tooling for production systemsRequired Qualifications:· Node.js and Express.js — strong, demonstrable production experience· AWS — deployed and operated infrastructure at scale· Docker and containerized deployment· PostgreSQL or MongoDB in production· Authentication systems - JWT and OAuth· CI/CD with GitHub Actions· HIPAA-aware development practices and handling of PHI· 3-5 years of backend engineering experienceAdditional Qualifications:· TypeScript· Web Sockets or real-time systems· Kubernetes or Infrastructure as Code· LLM API integration· HL7 / FHIR or healthcare interoperability experience· Comfortable taking ownership of systems end-to-end in a fast-moving environment· Makes architectural decisions and stands behind them· Balances speed with the rigor that a regulated environment requires· Motivated by work that has real downstream impact on patients and care teamsCompensation and Structure:· Base salary range: $100,000 – $130,000· Benefits: Health, dental, vision· Retirement: 401(k)· Time off: Accrued PTO, sick leave, holiday· Location: Hybrid (DMV-based preferred)· Type of Equity: Stock optionsTo Apply:Send the following to careers@unityglobalcare.com· Resume· GitHub or GitLab profile with representative work· A short note on a system you built end-to-end, what you made, what you'd change (300 words max)
