Senior Corporate Accountant

The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the company's corporate and consolidated financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role plays a key part in the monthly and quarterly close process, consolidation activities, intercompany accounting, and audit support within a dynamic multi-entity environment.The Senior Corporate Accountant partners closely with Corporate Accounting leadership, FP&A, Treasury, operational finance teams, and external auditors to support consolidated reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and drive process improvements across the accounting function. This position offers significant exposure to technical accounting, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration within a global organization.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the monthly and quarterly close process for corporate and consolidated reporting, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with established deadlinesAssist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations, and variance analysis of subsidiary resultsMaintain consolidation and reporting structures within SAP/BPC, including entity hierarchies, account mappings, and intercompany relationshipsSupport intercompany accounting processes, including reconciliation of balances, investigation of variances, and preparation of elimination schedulesPerform accounting research related to complex transactions and new accounting guidance; assist with preparation of technical accounting memos and accounting policy documentationExecute and document key internal controls related to the close and consolidation process, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirementsSupport external audit activities by preparing schedules, responding to audit requests, and assisting with supporting documentation for corporate and consolidated reporting areasPartner with FP&A to analyze consolidated financial results, investigate variances to budget and forecast, and support management reporting requirementsAssist Treasury with preparation of financial information required for lender reporting, credit agreements, and bank auditsPrepare complex journal entries and supporting schedules related to corporate accounting activities, including equity accounting, allocations, and consolidation adjustmentsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the close and reporting cycle, leveraging SAP and other reporting toolsSupport accounting projects and initiatives related to system implementations, process enhancements, and reporting improvementsCollaborate with accounting team members to promote consistency in processes, documentation, and best practices across the organizationRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or CPA candidate preferred4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in corporate accounting, consolidations, and/or public accountingStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principlesExperience working in a multi-entity environment with consolidation exposureExperience with ERP and financial reporting systems; SAP experience preferredDemonstrated ability to leverage AI tools, automation technologies, and advanced systems functionality to improve accounting processes, enhance reporting efficiency, and streamline routine workflowsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across departments and levels of the organizationPreferred QualificationsExperience in a large private company or global organizationPublic accounting backgroundExperience supporting external audits, preferably with Big 4 audit exposureExperience working with international entities or overseas shared service centersExperience with SAP BPC or similar consolidation/reporting tools
