Virginia Licensed Title Examiner

Reviewing and interpreting chains of title for mapped properties, the full-time Virginia Licensed Title Examiner will prepare and issue accurate preliminary reports while ensuring compliance with property and tax information requirements in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities Verify the completeness and accuracy of property and tax information for title searches Review and interpret documents, maps, and instruments in the chain of title from various property information systems Support the Searching Unit as needed for product workflow and ensure all necessary documents are included in search packages Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in the title industry Strong knowledge of legal descriptions and property locating techniques Familiarity with real property databases and ability to compile accurate title abstracts Understanding of title insurance practices and real estate law Ability to work under tight deadlines while producing high-quality, accurate results
