Working as a key technical leader, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, UX, and fellow engineers to architect and implement robust, high-performance platform components.You will focus on enhancing platform scalability, reliability, and extensibility, introducing modern cloud-native solutions and microservices architectures. Your responsibilities include evolving APIs, optimizing data pipelines, supporting multi-tenant environments, and integrating security best practices. You will also mentor and guide engineering teammates, ensuring high technical standards and effective collaboration.Your Qualifications & Skills:Proficient in backend technologies with strong experience in JVM languages, particularly Java and KotlinDeep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience building scalable, reliable platform services supporting data-intensive applicationsExpertise in API design, data pipelines, and integrating security practices in platform developmentStrong background in software design patterns, system architecture, and performance optimizationDemonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding engineering teamsExcellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional and remote work environmentPassion for continuous improvement and adopting modern development methodologies like Agile and CI/CDYou will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions significantly impact the product and customers. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, along with multiple years of senior software engineering experience, is expected.Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, including backend and platform developmentProficiency in JVM languages such as Java or KotlinStrong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience designing and implementing scalable, reliable platform services for data-intensive applicationsFamiliarity with API development, secure coding standards, and performance tuningLeadership experience mentoring and guiding engineering teamsStrong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional and remote teamsKnowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and software testing best practicesExperience in industrial process data analytics or related domains is a plusSeeq is a remote-first (only) company founded by serial entrepreneurs.
