Grinder Shift: 1st shift Summary We are seeking a Grinder to support industrial manufacturing operations by grinding and finishing castings, forgings, and weldments using handheld grinders and abrasive tools. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position, paid in installments throughout the first year of employment. Job ResponsibilitiesOperate handheld grinders weighing between 3-16 lbs. to remove excess metal and finish parts to specificationGrind and finish castings, forgings, fabrications, and weldments according to written and verbal instructionsReposition parts and materials as needed to complete grinding operations effectivelyPerform grinding in various positions, including inside and outside surfaces of partsRead and follow blueprints, sketches, specifications, and work instructionsOperate forklifts, overhead cranes, hand trucks, scales, and banding equipment safelyVerify part and document information for accuracyRecord production and inspection information as requiredSerialize parts using stamping tools or vibro-toolsFollow all company safety policies and procedures, including respirator requirements when necessary RequirementsHigh school diploma preferredPrevious experience in an industrial, mechanical, welding, machining, or manufacturing environment preferredAbility to safely use handheld grinders and related power toolsAbility to read, write, and follow instructions in EnglishAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionMust be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift over 50 lbs.Comfortable working in an industrial environment with dust, metal debris, and moderate noise levels Benefits:Medical / Dental / Vision401(k) with company matchPaid Vacation / HolidaysMedical Flexible Spending AccountLife / Disability InsuranceWellness ProgramPaid Bereavement LeaveEducational Reimbursement ProgramVoluntary InsurancesTraining Programs All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
