Commercial Estimator

Homans Associates (HA) is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc. We proudly distribute the Mitsubishi, Armstrong and Bryant brands of HVAC equipment, as well as a full line of HVAC residential and commercial parts, supplies, and accessories. We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. This position is a full-time position working in the Mitsubishi Product Division as a Mitsubishi Commercial Estimator with a primary role of reviewing blueprint drawings, written specifications, conducting take-offs, and generating proposals for Plan & Spec. or Design Build projects. This position will report directly to the Estimating Department Supervisor and the Director of Operations for the Mitsubishi Product Division. Responsibilities of the Mitsubishi Commercial Estimator: Become proficient with Mitsubishi residential, light commercial and VRF commercial product line (Training to be provided) Review drawings and related project data to determine scope of work, provide design support, and generate quotes/budgets as necessary Utilize BlueBeam take-off program (Training to be provided) Utilize Salesforce CRM program for project and quote creation (Training to be provided) Provide full quote support to sales team in the Mitsubishi Product Division, Homans Associates personnel as requested, and for our customer base Manage the Mitsubishi Product Division project queue with the estimating team to process project workflow Other duties as assigned. Qualifications of the Mitsubishi Commercial Estimator: Minimum requirements are a High School Diploma, and 5+ years of HVAC estimating experience with ductless and VRF knowledge preferred but not required Ability to learn and utilize new software quickly and accurately (* Salesforce, * Bluebeam, *Mitsubishi DSB design software, Microsoft Office, etc.) *Training will be provided High sense of urgency, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be a team player who works well in a fast-paced environment Highly energetic, motivated self-starter able to work with minimal direction from management Strong business, technical and problem-solving skills needed Must exude the utmost of integrity and high-performance standards
