Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with diverse learners, providing tailored educational support that fosters student growth and development.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needsAdapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate varying abilities and learning stylesCollaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experienceMonitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessaryMaintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with parents and guardiansPromote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independenceDesired Experience and Qualifications:Valid teaching credential in Special EducationExperience working with students with disabilities in a school environmentStrong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamPatience, creativity, and dedication to student successLocation:El Cajon, CAThis role is ideal for an educator passionate about empowering students with special needs and building their academic and social skills.
