Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary – PACU Unit Details PACU Beds: 10 SADU Beds: 8 Patient Ratios: SADU: 2:1 PACU: 2:1 (sometimes 1:1 depending on patient acuity) Charge Nurse / House Supervisor: 3 total, rotate daily (1 in SADU, 1 in PACU) Nurse Aids: Yes, 1 full-time per unit Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC Required Certifications ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) BLS (Basic Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Patient Population / Common Diagnoses Orthopedic issues General surgery Gynecology (GYN) ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) Outpatient procedures Experience / Skills Team-focused, positive, and competent in patient care Preferred: Same Day Surgery experience (handling both pre- and post-care) Shifts & Scheduling Primary Shift: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM Call / Holiday Requirement: 3 weeknight call shifts per month (7:30 PM – 7:00 AM; day off follows) 1x 24-hour weekend call per month Floating: Occasionally to help other areas Orientation & Dress Code Unit-specific orientation: Provided, tailored to RN’s experience & needs Scrubs: Provided for shift Scrub color/dress code: Unit-specific Additional Notes Great, positive work environment About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
