Details ICU setting within a hospital environment Patient population includes complex neurological cases and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, with experience in fempops, CEAs, post-thoracic surgeries, post-craniotomies, and neurosurgeries Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 Performs airway management, management of ventilated patients, central line management, arterial line management, IV drip management, continuous IV sedation, and titration of IV vasopressors Requires interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias Computerized documentation used for charting Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) 3–4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) 13-week contract Requirements Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience required Strong neuro ICU experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Proficiency with ventilator management, vasopressor titration, central line care, and IV sedation management PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients with neurological conditions, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and post-surgical care including craniotomies and thoracic surgeries Isolation precautions are part of routine care responsibilities American Traveler Job ID P-685827.
