Intern, Information Technology (Platform Engineering) Scout Motors Inc. – a company at the forefront of electric and hybrid SUV and truck development, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The internship runs from mid-May to mid-August 2026 and is tailored for current undergraduate students in Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields. Internship Program Overview Program Schedule: mid-May to mid-August 2026 Duration: Approximately 12 weeks, with flexibility for academic calendars Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation; no relocation or sponsorship is provided Location & Travel Expectations On-site internship based at Scout Motors' Charlotte, NC location Daily attendance required for in-person meetings and events Daily Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, IT Business Partners, Security, etc.) to gather requirements, design interfaces, and develop backend systems Deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code Enhance CI/CD automation and tooling by building integrations with APIs Improve tooling visualizations and reporting to enhance developer experience Gather feedback and refine existing platform processes Desired Skills & Qualifications Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field (sophomore or higher) Strong interest in electric vehicles, automotive engineering, and sustainable transportation Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a proactive, results-driven mindset Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools is preferred Ability to work from Charlotte, NC for the internship period What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in the electric vehicle industry Opportunity to work on innovative projects that support Scout Motors' mission Impact on legacy products and the broader EV industry Growth of technical and professional skills in automotive engineering Pay and Compensation This is a paid internship program with an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour.
