The internship runs from mid-May to mid-August 2026 and is tailored for current undergraduate students in Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
Internship Program Overview
Program Schedule: mid-May to mid-August 2026
Duration: Approximately 12 weeks, with flexibility for academic calendars
Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation; no relocation or sponsorship is provided
Location & Travel Expectations
On-site internship based at Scout Motors' Charlotte, NC location
Daily attendance required for in-person meetings and events
Daily Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, IT Business Partners, Security, etc.) to gather requirements, design interfaces, and develop backend systems
Deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
Enhance CI/CD automation and tooling by building integrations with APIs
Improve tooling visualizations and reporting to enhance developer experience
Gather feedback and refine existing platform processes
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field (sophomore or higher)
Strong interest in electric vehicles, automotive engineering, and sustainable transportation
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a proactive, results-driven mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools is preferred
Ability to work from Charlotte, NC for the internship period

Pay and Compensation
This is a paid internship program with an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour.
