High Performance Engine Builder

Redline Performance Inc. is looking for a experienced High-Performance Engine Builder to join our established performance engine shop in Anaheim, Ca. We specialize in custom and high performance engine builds for racing, off-road, hot rods, street performance, recreational vehicles, and marine applications. This is not an entry level engine assembly position. We are looking for an experienced professional who understands precision engine building, proper measuring procedures, clearances, tolerances, and the attention to detail required when building high-performance engines. Responsibilities: Complete assembly of high performance and custom engines. Measure and verify all critical engine components and clearances. Check bearing clearances, piston to wall clearance, ring gaps, deck height, and other critical measurements. Assemble short blocks, long blocks, cylinder heads, valvetrain, timing components, and related assemblies. Read and follow engine specifications and build sheets. inspect components for wear, damage, and potential issues prior to assembly. Maintain accurate documentation throughout each build. Work closely with our machine shop and service department. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Produce consistent, high quality work. Qualifications Professional engine building experience required. Strong knowledge of internal combustion and high performance engines. High performance V8 experience strongly preferred. Proficient with micrometers, dial bore gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment. Strong understanding of engine clearances and tolerances. Excellent mechanical and problem solving abilities. Detail oriented, organized, dependable and self motivated. able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have your own professional tools. Must take pride in workmanship and understand that quality comes before shortcuts. Experience with racing, off-road, marine, hot rod, and other high performance applications is a major plus. We are an established , specialized performance shop looking for someone who wants to become a long term member of our team. You'll work on a wide variety of interesting, high performance projects rather than a repetitive production work. One of the biggest benefits: Our shop operates on a 4 day workweek. Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5:00 PM Friday-Sunday OFF Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
