🚨 Hiring: Technical Leader – R&D Design Engineering📍 Chicago Area (On-site)⚡ Start: ASAPWe’re supporting a leading global medical device company in the search for a Technical Leader – Design Engineering to join a fast-paced R&D innovation team focused on next-generation drug delivery device development.This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced mechanical design professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.What you’ll do:✔ Lead and mentor design engineering teams✔ Drive mechanical design activities using SolidWorks✔ Support product development from concept through prototyping & testing✔ Collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, and project teams✔ Guide rapid prototyping / 3D printing iterations✔ Participate in technical reviews and client-facing discussions✔ Support design verification and engineering decision-makingWhat we’re looking for:🔹 7–10+ years in mechanical design / product development🔹 Strong SolidWorks expertise🔹 Experience in medical devices or highly regulated industries🔹 Background with plastic components / plastics processing preferred🔹 Exposure to assembly line / manufacturing environments🔹 Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills🔹 Available to work 100% on-site in the Chicago areaThis is an exciting opportunity to make immediate impact on innovative device development programs with a highly collaborative engineering team.
