Learning & Development Lead
Job DescriptionECS is seeking a Learning & Development Lead to work in our Fairfax, VA office.Within Human Capital, this role supports the Talent Management function by building and creating a high impact learning environment to accelerate overall employee performance. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing people manager effectiveness and driving strategic learning initiatives. You will partner closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to assess enterprise and business specific needs, design impactful learning solutions and bring innovative and well-designed programs and learning experiences to life. This role blends instructional design expertise, creative problem-solving, and facilitation skills to bring our talent strategies to life in ways that are practical, scalable and help redefine how managers lead, grow talent and drive performance.How You’ll Make An ImpactPartner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps and prioritize learning initiativesDevelop and execute a learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goalsFacilitate high-impact learning experiences both virtually and in personServe as the internal expert on adult learning, performance improvement, and talent developmentInfluence stakeholders and guide learning decisions across the organizationDefine program success metrics and evaluate learning outcomes.Analyze data, feedback, and performance insights to inform enhancements.Track program adoption and effectiveness and inform future capability-building priorities.Required SkillsMust be a strategic thinker with a bias for action — able to translate business priorities into actionable, learner-centric solutionsMust have 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Leadership Development, Talent Management, or Organizational DevelopmentExperience designing and facilitating manager development programs.Must have strong facilitation skills — adept at engaging, challenging, and inspiring experienced leaders across technical and business domainsMust be flexible and adaptable working with various levels within the organizationMust have a strong instructional design background with a focus on experiential and application-based learningExperience designing and facilitating training within government contracting industryMust have strong program management and stakeholder engagement skills — can navigate ambiguity and align cross-functional leaders with clarityExperience using content authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or Storyline Must have experience with learning management systems (Workday, ADP, Cornerstone, Percipio)Hybrid role, must be located within commutable distance to Fairfax, VADesired Skills#ECS1ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
