Project Engineer

Job Description:
· Reporting to the FAE Manager, the person in this role will support the FAE-Logistics’ objective to make Assembly Material Handling best-in-industry for human safety, highest quality through part touch reduction, and most efficient utilization of automation technology for non-value-added work reduction.
What you’ll be doing
· (50%) Project Planning with Plant Logistics and Final Assembly team for upcoming model change.
· (30%) Evaluating Model change impact to Logistics processes and developing technical equipment change requirements.
· (10%) Development of new technologies and vendor base for PE (Production Engineering) and Manufacturing Material Handling industry competitiveness improvement within Assembly.
· (10%) Leading equipment projects from concept to launch for Logistics Automation technology to Assembly across the NAMCs.
· Close collaboration and relationship building with internal and external groups across Toyota including TMNA Final Assembly Engineering Project Leaders, NAMC’s Pilot team, Logistics,
· Maintenance, Internal Logistics Engineering regional team, PEPD, and others.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering or technical degree or equivalent work experience
· Experience in Assembly Engineering or Internal Logistics Engineering
· Ability to travel up to 30% to all North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMCs) as well as Japan for TMC sites and equipment makers.
· Ability to work up to 20% overtime when required.
