A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • 36 or 48 hour guarantee per week • Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers accepted • Patient population includes adults to geriatrics • Patient ratios: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS, MS Tele • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH • Epic charting system experience required, also uses Pyxis and SBAR • Navy blue scrubs required • Float required to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU units within the hospital • Every other weekend schedule (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract) • Maximum 7 days requested time off • RTO blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th) • No call requirements • Holiday work required based on assignment period coverage • 24 hours of orientation with modules completed during orientation • Work with all potential MS, MS Tele, and PCU diagnoses • Skills include arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, wound care, and isolation precautions • Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week pushback for non-compliance Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive hospital system featuring multiple medical-surgical and telemetry departments, cardiac telemetry services, neuro intermediate care, and progressive care units. The facility consists of 5 MS/MS Tele departments, 1 Cardiac Telemetry department, 1 Neuro intermediate unit, and 2 PCU units. The hospital provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
