Sanitation Attendant I

Cleaning Attendant   $17 - $21 per hour    Are you detail-oriented?  Do you enjoy cleaning?  Do you have experience cleaning in a food establishment? Do you feel a sense of accomplishment when you're done cleaning?  YES?  Please read on!    Our Clarence Location is looking for experienced sanitation attendants to clean the egg packing machine and area at the end of the day. This position is responsible for various tasks associated with cleaning production equipment and the general work area.    This position requires afternoon and evening availability. We are flexible and have hours to accommodate full-time schedules. Being bilingual, Spanish/ English, is a plus, but is not required.  JOB RESPONSIBILTIES Strategic and tactical work for which this position is accountable: It is the responsibility of the Sanitation Attendant l to become familiar with Kreher’s pre-established processing plant sanitation procedures and guidelines, and while working in a supervised manner: Cleaning and sanitation of the egg grader, the packing room, and may include the cooler and the dry storage warehouse. Sanitation of the egg washing area including conveyors, washers, blowers and egg inspection units, along with walls, floors and drains. Sanitation of the egg grader including the egg baskets, brush area and covers/doors of the grader. Sanitation of the packer area including rollers, egg holders, all conveyors, machine framework, floors and drains. Review daily sanitation report to implement corrective action(s) during next sanitation time. Meeting or exceeding standards in the tasks performed for the department without sacrificing quality or personal safety. Maintaining a clean and organized work area to avoid accidents and encouraging the team to do the same. Prior to beginning cleaning and sanitation; Sanitation Attendant I may work on packaging eggs to ensure that products are packaged in the correct carton/cases/carts. Monitoring products for valid dates (sell by, use by, and packaging dates). Complying with Kreher’s Policies and Work Rules, as well as federal and state laws. Learning the proper operation of basic warehouse equipment and machinery. Performs other job duties as required   REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Capabilities and traits essential to perform satisfactorily Knowledge and experience in the use of basic hand tools. Ability to be a good team mate while working with other employees. Good attention to detail. Good organization skills. Strong desire to learn and develop knowledge and skills. Ability to be flexible with working schedule - employees may need to work longer or shorter hours to meet operational needs, as determined by leadership.    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED required 1+ years of work experience, in a food processing plant preferred.
