With an established international network and a reputation for reliability, the company serves clients across industrial, manufacturing, energy, and consumer sectors.Role SummaryThe Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business across the Southeast U.S. region, with a primary focus on international Air and Ocean freight services. Based in Atlanta, this role requires a proactive hunter mentality, strong knowledge of the local market, and a proven ability to convert qualified leads into long-term partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a structured sales plan to generate new accounts across Air, Ocean, and Domestic freight services within the Southeast regionProspect, qualify, and close mid-to-large-scale customers with a focus on profitable growth and long-term partnershipsCollaborate with operations, pricing, and trade lane managers to create competitive client solutions and RFQ responsesConduct sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations with C-level and procurement decision-makersBuild and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent prospecting, networking, and CRM managementPrepare weekly revenue forecasts and performance reports aligned with corporate KPIsEnsure all customer agreements comply with company policies and industry regulationsQualifications & SkillsMinimum 3–5 years of experience in international freight forwarding salesProven track record of winning new business within Air and Ocean freight marketsStrong understanding of Incoterms, global logistics processes, and supply chain solutionsExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunitiesProficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
