AI-Native Executive Assistant to Founder

ABOUT THE ROLEI'm the founder of OpenVet, and I'm looking for a sharp, proactive Executive Assistant who can take a meaningful amount of work off my plate — not just by being organized, but by actually thinking and writing for me using AI.This isn't a traditional EA role. I run nearly every part of my workflow through Claude (+ OpenAI +OpenClaw etc.), and I need someone who already lives in AI tools the same way. If you can't draft a thoughtful email in Claude in two minutes, or you're still scared of AI, this isn't the right fit. If you're the person your friends ask "wait, how did you do that?" — keep reading.WHAT YOU'LL DO• Own my inbox. Triage, draft replies in my voice, flag what actually needs me, kill what doesn't. Be a proactive communicator — write for me, follow up for me, make sure nothing falls through.• Manage my calendar and travel. Schedule, reschedule, prep me before every meeting, book flights/hotels/conferences.• Run point on follow-through. Capture action items from my meetings (using AI tools like Granola), chase them down, keep projects moving at OpenVet.• Use AI as your default tool. Claude is the home base. You'll build prompts, run workflows, automate things, and teach me tricks I don't know.• Represent me with poise. Some external comms with partners and vendors. If you'd like, occasional travel with me to industry conferences (3–5/year), including booth/event support.BONUS SKILLS (real bonuses — we'll pay more for them)• Bookkeeping: QuickBooks or Xero, expense categorization, monthly close.• Project / operations management: Notion, Asana, ClickUp, or Linear.• Social media: drafting and scheduling posts (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram) using AI for first drafts. Strong social skills can meaningfully bump comp.WHAT YOU MUST HAVE• Real AI fluency. Not "I've used ChatGPT." I mean you have Claude or ChatGPT open all day, you write good prompts, and you know when AI is wrong. This is a HARD requirement.• Strong, clear writing. Professional, warm, direct. You'll be writing in my voice — show me you can.• Proactive over reactive. You see things coming, you don't wait to be told.• Discretion. You'll see private financial and business information. You handle it like a professional.• 2+ years EA, ops, or chief-of-staff-style experience.• We're ok if you love being an EA... and we're ok if you want to use this to move into ops, or marketing, or another position. All possible in startup land.LOGISTICS• Schedule: Full-time preferred. Open to part-time or contract-to-hire for the right person.• Location: Fort Lauderdale / Miami area preferred for often in-person work and traveling together to conferences. Remote considered for the right person.• Compensation: $55K–$80K base plus performance bonuses. Range stretches higher for candidates who bring strong bonus skills (especially social media).HOW TO APPLYSend your résumé plus a short note answering these four questions. Applications without the questions answered will not be reviewed. What's the most impressive thing you've done with an AI tool in the last 60 days? Be specific.Walk me through how you'd use Claude to clear an inbox of 80 unread emails.Tell me about a time you wrote something on behalf of a boss/client and they sent it without changing a word.If you got hired and we landed in two weeks of total chaos — multiple deadlines, my inbox at 400, OpenVet needing things from me — what's the first thing you'd do?Bonus: include one prompt you've written that you're proud of, and what it does.
