Manager of Tax-Amended Returns

You'll have the opportunity to shape your career while working in a globally connected environment.The OpportunityAs a Manager in the Amended Return Center ("ARC"), you will leverage your corporate income tax expertise to manage various tax compliance engagements. We are looking for a driven and collaborative professional to join our US team and support essential engagement processes. In return, you can count on the support of inspiring colleagues and ample opportunities for advancement.Your Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality work products to the senior manager team in a timely manner.Supervise a dedicated team of professionals in our Global Delivery Services ("GDS") team in India, specifically overseeing the detailed review of tax returns.Provide constructive review notes and mentorship to ensure team members fulfill their potential.Identify opportunities and risks while reviewing tax returns, communicating findings to the senior manager team.Engage in various special projects, including tax research, as assigned.Analyze specific issues in the review of amended tax returns based on ARC's established processes.Apply your technical tax knowledge to assist GDS staff with inquiries.Monitor project deliverables closely, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate to find solutions.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, visibility, efficiency, and client experience.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing engagement priorities appropriately.Oversee daily project tasks to meet client deadlines effectively.Guide US Senior Analysts and Assistant Managers, as well as GDS staff on engagements.Expect to work moderate overtime during peak periods from September to December.Ability to work independently from a remote setup.To qualify for the role, you must have:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience managing teams effectively.6-8 years of relevant experience.CPA or EA certification.Ideally, you'll also have:Understanding of global statutory reporting/bookkeeping, ideally with international experience.Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and IT concepts.What we offer you:At EY, we equip you with forward-looking skills and exceptional experiences.
