Maintenance Manager

Position located in Garfield, NJ Primex Plastics Corporation is one of the largest custom extruded plastic sheet producers in the country, with eight manufacturing facilities from coast to coast. We manufacture a broad range of plastic sheet for a wide variety of industries and we are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager at our Primex Plastics manufacturing plant in Garfield, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing the maintenance functions of two manufacturing facilities on the same campus Serving as the subject matter expert for all critical systems, manufacturing equipment, preventive maintenance programs, and facility operations Providing project management leadership, technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities in support of capital projects within the maintenance/engineering disciplines Developing, planning, and managing all maintenance events within the plants Supervising, scheduling, and training all maintenance employees Creating and overseeing the preventive maintenance programs Identifying problems/unsafe conditions and implementing corrective actions The ideal candidate will have: 10+ years of maintenance/management experience, plastics industry highly preferred High School Diploma/equivalent required, Technical Diploma/Degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered High level of proficiency in repairing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems Hands on approach, including the willingness and ability to assist with troubleshooting and repairing equipment Strong overall computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, email, etc. Excellent organizational, planning, presentation, and communication skills Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus What’s in it for you?
