Learn more about joining the Celldex Team today!This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize product distribution and access, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of our lead product through the supply chain. The individual will manage the relationships with wholesalers, specialty distributors, and pharmacies, while also overseeing inventory, logistics, and contract negotiations.ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and direction for Trade strategyBuild distribution network, aligning it with business needs, identifying growth opportunities, and addressing operational gaps to overcome challenges and drive accessLead the development and execution in Federal Markets, including VA and Department of Defense to drive product access, distribution, and growthAct as subject matter expert from a Market Access perspective for 340B program and other government programsInform senior leadership about changes and emerging issues in the broad, trade customer environments and subsequent implications for the CompanyDevelop awareness of market and government policy changes in collaboration with legal and compliance and implications across key stakeholders to help inform/update commercial strategiesDevelop/maintain thorough understanding of dynamics driving various market access segments and channels and how distribution impacts each functionOversight in the negotiation, execution, and adherence to the Distribution Service Agreements (DSAs), Product Purchase Agreements, and other contract offerings as appropriateDevelop and monitors strategic, financial, and product access KPIs, continually assessing impact and execution of access services & offerings, including feedback from service users and internal stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's Degree required. MBA preferredMust have 15+ years within the pharmaceutical industry and 10+ years' experience of working with wholesalers, distributors, specialty pharmacies or other Trade account managementExperience with any combination of prominent Trade accounts for biologics, especially in Inflammation & Immunology spaceTrack record of driving and closing complex negotiations with proven track record of successPrevious experience managing national and regional pharmacy or distribution accountsAbility to network and develop new relationships with trade accounts of all segmentsExperience in Federal Markets including VA, Department of Defense and 340B Program preferredDevice/Drug combination strongly preferredLaunch for the distribution process preferredBroad-based knowledge of the biopharma industry, healthcare finance, and all forms of product distributionFirm grasp of legal, regulatory and compliance issues in the healthcare spaceAnalytical/strategic thinker with proven ability to conduct situation analysis of the external distribution environment; synthesize relevant information to develop strategic plans; understand the best pathway for distribution based on the product and its attributes; conduct strategic gap analysis and implement metric-based solutionsStrong interpersonal and internal/external relationship-building skills to drive change and innovation and succeed in a highly specialized distribution environmentExcellent oral/written communication skills, coupled with presentation skills, including ability to present to executive audiencesHighly organized, with strong project management skills to prioritize and manage complex projects, with multiple stakeholders, and drive high-quality results within allotted budgetTravel required - Up to 40%CompensationThe expected base salary range for this position is $233,631 to $303,417.We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
