If you would like to help us achieve our mission, please apply for the following opportunity.DescriptionService Coordinator - Tax CreditFulltime | 40 hours per weekSchedule: M-F, 8am-4:30pm (with flexibility)Location: Madison, WILutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a fulltime Service Coordinator to support residents across our Tax Credit properties in Dane County providing onsite services that promote housing stability and resident wellbeing. The locations of the various properties include Madison, Monona, Oregon, Verona, Fitchburg, McFarland, and Sun Prairie, WI.The Housing Tax Credit (HTC) program-also known as LIHTC, Affordable Housing, or Workforce Housing-was created to encourage private investment in affordable rental housing for low to moderateincome households, seniors, and people with special needs. Administered in Wisconsin by WHEDA, the program requires developments to remain affordable longterm and to reserve some units for households earning no more than 30% of the County Median Income (CMI), while also allowing a mix of higher CMIs and marketrate units.This is a full-time, benefit eligible opportunity! The schedule will be Monday - Friday, typically 8am-4:30pm with a half hour break, but there is flexibility with the start/end time. 4/10s is also an option.What You'll DoBuild strong relationships with residents, families, and community partners.Identify resident needs, complete assessments, and develop Housing Stability Plans .Monitor service delivery and maintain communication with providers.Maintain onsite resource materials and educate residents on available services and rights.Support residents and families through transitions, including exiting the property with a plan in place.Coordinate quarterly wellness/education sessions that contribute to housing stability.Collaborate regularly with onsite staff to identify resident needs, welcome new residents, and determine educational sessions/resident events.Track program outcomes, collect data, and prepare required reports.Perform additional duties as assigned.Perks & BenefitsPublic Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibilityMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid Time Off and 10 paid holidaysMileage reimbursementFlexible Spending Accounts (Health & Dependent Care)403(b) retirement planAnnual wage increases prioritizedEmployee Assistance ProgramService awards and employee recognitionWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or related field or equivalent experience required.Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including work with low-income, older adults, and people with disabilities.Knowledge of supportive services and resources in the Dane County area preferred.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentRegular bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and lifting.Ability to move throughout the building as part of daily duties.Primarily officebased work environment with moderate noise levels.Occasional exposure to chemical fumes (e.g., paint, cleaning products).Possible exposure to smoke, dust, mildew, pets, and other common household allergens when entering resident units.Brief exposure to outdoor weather conditions during workrelated travel.TravelRegular local travel between multiple tax credit sites in and around Madison and throughout Dane County.Occasional instate travel for meetings, networking, and training.May include occasional overnight stays.If you're passionate about strengthening communities and empowering residents to thrive, we'd love to have you join our team.
