Plant EHS Manager

Position - EH&S ManagerLocation - Plaquemine, LA (Onsite)Duration - 3 months contractPay rate - $48/hour on W2Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) professional to lead safety and environmental compliance initiatives at a manufacturing site or hub. This role is responsible for implementing EH&S management systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, along with a proactive approach to risk management, compliance, and safety culture development.Key Responsibilities:Lead implementation of EH&S management systems across site/hubDrive EH&S performance improvement initiatives and safety cultureEnsure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulationsManage and support environmental permits (air, water, etc.) and regulatory submissionsConduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsPerform audits, gap assessments, and compliance reviewsSupport Management of Change (MOC) processes for EH&S programsAct as primary point of contact during regulatory/agency inspectionsDevelop and deliver EH&S training programs for employeesCoach and mentor EH&S technicians and site personnelReview EH&S documentation to ensure accuracy and complianceRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related fieldExperience in EH&S within manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong knowledge of EH&S regulations and compliance standardsExperience with incident investigation and corrective action processesAbility to manage multiple priorities and work across cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with environmental permitting (air, water, waste)Knowledge of EH&S management systems and processes (e.g., MOC)Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspectionsStrong communication, leadership, and training skillsWhy Join Us:Opportunity to lead and influence EH&S programs at a site levelWork in a dynamic and safety-focused environmentBe part of continuous improvement and operational excellence initiativesGTech is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment.
