Personal AccountantOur client is seeking an experienced Accountant to support their CEO with both personal and professional financial needs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and proactive, with strong accounting expertise and the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.Expectations for Success:Executive & Personal Accounting Support:Serve as a trusted accounting partner to the CEO, providing direct support for personal financial management and reporting.Maintain accurate and organized records of personal, professional, and household financial transactions.Oversee bill payments, loan and mortgage obligations, insurance premiums, and other recurring expenses to ensure timely settlement.Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly.Analyze income and expenditures to develop comprehensive budgets and set financial goals.Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to support informed decision-making and long-term financial stability.Navigate federal, state, and local tax requirements, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.Gather and organize all required financial information and documentation to support accurate tax return preparation by external tax professionals.Assist in building and maintaining an investment portfolio aligned with financial objectives and risk tolerance.Collaborate with financial advisors to ensure optimal asset allocation and tax efficiency.Advise on strategies to reduce costs and improve overall financial health.Liaise with banks, investment firms, accountants, and other professional advisors as needed.Support estate planning and trust administration, coordinating with legal professionals to ensure alignment with long-term objectives.Manage the financial aspects of charitable giving, including tax documentation and strategic planning for philanthropic goals.Corporate Accounting Support:Allocate remaining capacity to support the company's accounting team in core business functions.Assist with general ledger (GL) activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support.Provide support during an ERP system transition, including data validation, process documentation, and cross-functional coordination.Contribute to improving accounting processes, controls, and reporting accuracy during system and process changes.Who You Are:4–7 years of accounting experience; degree or certificate in accounting (CPA preferred, not required)Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and GAAPStrong MS Excel skills, both logic (pivot tables, lookups, macros, formulas) and formattingAdvanced skills in SQL and reporting software; general familiarity with accounting softwareStrong critical thinking and written/verbal communication skillsHighly detail-oriented and organizedAdaptable and able to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working in a hybrid office settingBenefits:Competitive base salary: $91,300–$100,600Medical, dental, and vision insurance options401k plan with discretionary matchCompany-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disabilitySupplemental life insurance, critical illness, accident, and identity theft protectionVacation, sick, and floating holidaysPaid time off and paid volunteer timeWellness programInclusive awards and recognition program
