Our team specializes in large-scale exterior improvement projects including roofing, siding, windows, and other home renovation services, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship and customer experience. As the organization continues to expand, we are building scalable internal operations and seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and project visibility across the business. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational reporting, and helping leadership better understand project profitability and overall business performance. Position Overview This is a hands-on accounting role responsible for participating in the full month-end close process, payroll processing, job costing, and general accounting support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly detail-oriented, and can work independently with minimal oversight. Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting Support year-end tax preparation and coordination with external accounting partners Job Costing & Project Accounting Monitor job costing and project profitability Review project budgets compared to actual costs Partner with operations and project management teams to ensure accurate cost allocation Identify and communicate cost overruns or margin concerns Payroll Processing Process payroll accurately and timely Ensure payroll expenses are properly allocated and posted to the general ledger Maintain payroll records and support payroll compliance activities Process Improvement Assist with improving accounting processes and internal controls Support reporting enhancements and system improvements as the company grows Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4–8 years of accounting experience Experience supporting or owning month-end close processes required Strong understanding of GAAP Payroll processing experience required Advanced Excel skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Construction, contracting, or project-based accounting experience Experience with job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting Experience working within a growing or entrepreneurial environment Interested in hearing more?
