Field Service Technician
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of information technology systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tele-data technician to apply their expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct field service calls to diagnose and resolve technical issues with POS devices, CCTV, routers, servers, switches using Cat5e, Cat6, and Coaxial cabling.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including retermination of data cabling, replacing cable runs, and replacing cable accessories as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair issues with information technology hardware at OSI Layers 1-3.
Provide technical sales support to customers, recommending solutions to meet their needs.
Install new structured cabling systems, ensuring proper installation and setup.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance and repair activities and taking before and after photos.
Collaborate with other technicians and service staff to resolve complex technical issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Structured cabling certification or local low voltage license is required.
Experience as a low-voltage technician is essential.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, including installation, configuration maintenance, and repair.
Proficiency in the use of installation equipment such as network cable tester, cable tracer/toner, 110-blade punch down tool, scissor lift, 10' ladder, and other field equipment
Able to interpret and follow Telecommunications schematics.
Excellent technical sales skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials.
Physical stamina to perform tasks in a variety of environments.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $40.00 - $80.00 per hour
