Evercore ISI seeks to hire a Research Senior Associate or Vice President to support the Senior Research Analyst on its equity research team covering utilities, independent power producers and clean energy in New York, NY.Primary Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and should be comfortable working independently as well as in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Prior equity research or investment banking experience is preferred, but not necessarily required if the individual has an industry background and a finance orientation. The candidate may be required to provide a work product including a writing sample and a financial model.Develop and update company-specific and industry financial modelsPerform financial and valuation analysis of covered companiesAuthor industry and company-specific research reportsOversee data collection and monitor investor news servicesOther duties as necessarySpecific Qualifications:Exceptional analytical and modeling capabilitiesExcellent communication skills; the job entails significant writing and PowerPoint responsibilitiesConcrete understanding of / demonstrated interest in corporate finance & equity marketsBackground in equity research, investment banking, or Energy industry background with a finance orientationComfortable working in a collaborate team-oriented environmentS. degree requiredMBA and/or CFA helpful but not requiredExpected Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $200,000In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity.
