Senior Associate, Private Equity Partnership Investments

What it's aboutPosition SummaryThe Senior Associate will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing secondary market transactions within our Private Equity Partnerships Investments team overseeing secondaries, co-investments and primaries. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, deep market knowledge, and the ability to manage complex transaction processes from origination through closing. The Senior Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals, portfolio managers, and external counterparties to identify opportunities that align with the firm's investment strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Sourcing & OriginationBuild and maintain relationships with intermediaries, GPs, LPs, and advisors to identify high-quality secondary opportunities, including LP stake sales, GP-led restructurings, and structured solutions.Investment AnalysisConduct detailed quantitative and qualitative assessments of GP managers, funds, portfolios, and underlying assets, including cash flow modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis.Due DiligenceLead transaction diligence processes, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to assess commercial, legal, financial, and tax risks.Transaction ExecutionManage transaction timelines, negotiate terms, and prepare investment memoranda for internal investment committees.Market IntelligenceMonitor trends in private equity, including the secondary market, track pricing benchmarks, and provide insights to inform investment strategy.Portfolio ManagementSupport ongoing monitoring of acquired positions, including performance tracking, valuation updates, and exit planning.What we expect4-6 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or secondary advisory, with at least 2 years focused on secondary transactions.Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel and relevant analytical tools.Deep understanding of private equity fund structures, LP-led / GP-led processes, and LP portfolio dynamics.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and succinctly.Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.CompetenciesCommercial acumen and transaction judgment.Strategic thinking with attention to detail.Relationship-building and networking skills.Financial Modeling: Profeciency in financial modeling is essential for analizing investment opportunities and managing portfolio companies.High integrity and professional maturity.Project management and task prioritization.Business diligence and data processing.What we offerPartners Group is a global financial institution that retains the culture, pace and agility of a start-up.
