System Administrator

Overview In this role, you will front the System Administrator function for TTAC Infrastructure Modernization, ensuring reliable, secure operations and high availability. You will work with cross-functional teams to provision, configure, and maintain systems hardware and software, monitor performance, and implement upgrades. You will also automate tasks, manage access and disaster recovery, and support federal projects through a security-conscious, service-driven mindset. This is a hands-on role at a government-facing IT program with opportunities to shape infrastructure modernization. ResponsibilitiesProvide system support with 99.9% availability and operational coverageManage and operate the overall system environment (hardware, software, and network)Automate administration and maintenance via scriptingMaintain passwords and security credentials for servers, HSMs, firewalls, and related systemsPlan, install, configure, and test hardware, software, LAN/WAN, and system management toolsMonitor performance, conduct load/stress tests, troubleshoot, and coordinate vendor escalationsDevelop and enforce disaster recovery policies, perform backups, and maintain documentationPrepare users with training and reference materialsCoordinate upgrades with vendors, test, and deploy enhancementsKeep knowledge current through training, publications, and professional networksMaintain confidentiality and protect organizational value Key requirementsBachelor or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree2+ years IT delivery/operations experience on large US Federal projects2+ years managing Windows and Linux-based systems2+ years OS shell scripting (Bash/sh/ksh/PowerShell)Calm, fact-oriented under stress; good communication with senior-level clientsStrong written and oral communication; team-oriented and collaborativeSelf-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams; flexible schedule including weekends if neededcalm under pressureclear communicationteam collaborationWindows and Linux system administrationShell scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)System monitoring and performance tuning
