Cylinder Head Technician I- 1st Shift

DescriptionThis position is responsible for Cylinder Head Department support as listed below for Texas Speed and Performance.Reports to Department Manager. Schedule for this position is 7am-4pm (M-F onsite)Locate and record work orders for customer supplied heads.Disassemble and inspect heads for damage and bolts, notify sales for bolt removal approval.Keep customer parts organized and area free of trash daily.Send and receive heads sent to outside service for blasting, inspect during return and record monthly numbers for accounting.Sand blast valves and other parts as needed while keeping machine in good condition and clean.Blending cylinder heads and inspecting each set completed by other teammates.Responsible for all aspects of quality including but not limited to visual inspection, deburring, washing, and proper care of cylinder heads.Assemble Cylinder Heads when needed.Keep up with all machine maintenance and water/coolant level and quality.Pressure checking of all cylinder heads.Assist with inventory of all consumables and parts used within the cylinder head departmentMaintain positive working relationship with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment.Constantly verify parts are correct for work orders. Address immediately if discrepancies are foundBuilding/boxing products or other shop supplies when needed.Responsible for implementing and enforcing industry standard safety procedures throughout the cylinder head department.Washing final Milled heads as needed while keeping runs in order.Sweeping and mopping of entire shop expected during down time or being asked.Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager.RequirementsRequirementsDynamic, high-energy individual with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.Must be cautious and attentiveMust understand differences in cylinder heads and intake manifoldsExceptional Mechanical Abilities
