Manager, AccountingSafford, ArizonaOnsite | Full-TimeWe're seeking an experienced Manager, Accounting to lead site-level accounting and financial operations in a collaborative, engineering work site environment. This role partners closely with site leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound financial decision-making.What You'll DoLead and oversee daily accounting and finance operations for the siteManage key functions including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, tax activities, internal audits, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and cost analysisPrepare profit & loss statements, forecasts, and historical financial reportsDevelop and manage the annual budget, including variance analysis and cost-efficiency initiativesEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and state and federal regulationsCollaborate with site leadership as part of the management team on strategic and tactical planningSupport department leaders with budget development and financial guidanceProvide financial insights and recommendations, including audit firm selection and vendor managementLead, coach, and evaluate accounting staff to drive performance and developmentRepresent the site on cross-functional or steering committees as neededWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership roleORMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysisProven ability to interpret regulations and ensure complianceExcellent analytical, leadership, and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and financial systemsPreferredExperience in mining or other heavy industrial environmentsWork EnvironmentThis is an Engineering job site, environment.Primarily office-based with occasional work in operational or industrial settingsAbility to work effectively in a potentially high-pressure environmentMay require limited lifting (up to 25 lbs) and use of personal protective equipment when applicableAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
