Key Responsibilities Financial Oversight Manage and oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. Budget Management Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or relevant standards. Audit and Compliance Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Internal Controls Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial processes. Policy Development Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and systems to support sound financial management. Team Leadership Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, promoting professional development and high performance. Stakeholder Communication Present financial results and analysis to senior leadership, board members, and other stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred) CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including management roles Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance Proficiency with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP systems) Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills About Us: Merit Technologies has been a leader in innovative tech solutions for over 15 years, providing exceptional service to our clients.
