By partnering with our vendors and stakeholders, we manage all client account positions, activities, and balances. As a Java Engineer III, you will work on the new development and modernization of our legacy products. By providing your technical expertise and leadership, you will ensure availability of our systems and provide quality solutions for the business and enterprise software needs.Here are a few of the key responsibilities you would be a part of:Responsible for applying business and technical knowledge to ensure availability of our systems, and to provide quality solutions for business and enterprise software needsPerform lead analyst role to complete high-level and technical systems design for new and enhanced systemsPerform project leadership role on small initiativesProvide technical leadership and complete complex system level assignmentsProvide guidance and training to less experienced developers on the business impact of the systems supported and the technical design of systems. Develop business and technical requirements for enhancements, projects, and new systemsDesign (including system specifications), develop, test, document, and implement quality application software within targeted due datesProvide and validate program / task / system estimatesProactively identify implications of a project – articulate urgency, dependencies, and trade-offs over multiple systemsLead walkthroughs to assure quality of programs developed by other associates Walkthroughs are done with an overall perspective to ensure quality and follow firm standardsDevelop relationships with stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to modify software to avoid future problems and promote continuous improvementDevelop and execute complex system test plans to ensure qualityCreate documentation across many systems and functional areas, describes touch points and impacts at a total system levelMay involve periodic review and confirmation of general support documentationWhat Experience You'll Need:Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in software development, including :Expert level in at least one of the following environments: gaining understanding in other environments. Environments may include the following, plus the ability to interface with one or more database platforms:Web Application DevelopmentClient Application DevelopmentMainframe Online and/or Batch DevelopmentEnterprise or solution specific purchased softwareUnderstanding of infrastructure architecture – networks, productivity tools, operating systemsStrong knowledge and experience with JavaWhat Could Set You Apart:Experience with Mongo****Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday****
