MATERIAL HANDLER—3rd SHIFT We’re seeking a dependable Material Handler to support our finishing, casting, and shipping operations by safely loading, unloading, and moving product and materials throughout the plant. In this role, you’ll also assist with finishing department setup and production reporting to help ensure our customers receive a quality die-cast product. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Follows written and oral work instructions Safely and properly loads, unloads and transports materials using forklift and tugger Organizes dunnage and manages ready supply of empty dunnage Creates and attaches identifying tags or labels to materials Removes all old labels or tags from dunnage Verifies routing tags or labels have been signed before moving from cell Verifies counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet Performs production reporting process for finished goods Performs offline cell changeovers Maintains correct media levels, tools and supplies for all finishing equipment Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance of finishing department equipment Performs floor work activities necessary to keep an orderly flow of production without unnecessary interruptions Assists supervisors in assigning placement of finishing operators Performs duties of finishing operator Meets expected productivity requirements for assigned area QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or GED Certification/License: Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) License Experience: Minimum 3 months manufacturing experience operating a fork truck PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience supporting finishing and/or shipping operations in a manufacturing environment Comfortable completing basic equipment troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks Experience with production counts, weights, labeling, and daily production reporting WORK EXPECTATIONS Maintain regular and punctual attendance and work assigned schedule Work overtime (OT) as assigned Meet productivity requirements for the assigned area Meet all physical and environmental requirements for the role Applicants must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
