Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel Telemetry RN (Med/Surg) Facility: Manistee Hospital Location: Manistee, Michigan Assignment Type: Long-Term Travel Duration: (13 Weeks), with potential for extension Position Overview Manistee Hospital is seeking a skilled and adaptable Telemetry RN to join its Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a rural hospital setting. This role is ideal for a nurse who is comfortable working across varying patient acuity levels and thrives in a flexible, team-oriented environment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while monitoring cardiac rhythms and supporting patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Schedule & Shift Details Shift: Nights Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Weekly Hours: 36 hours Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday On-Call: Not required Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms accurately Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process Manage patients with varying acuity levels in a rural hospital setting Administer medications and treatments per physician orders Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Provide patient and family education Maintain accurate and timely documentation Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed Patient Population & Unit Details Med/Surg Telemetry unit with acuity-adaptable patient care Exposure to a wide variety of medical and surgical cases Rural hospital setting requiring flexibility and independence Preferred Experience Critical care or stepdown experience strongly preferred Experience with: Ventilators Titrating IV drips Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills Required Qualifications Experience Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience Proven ability to interpret cardiac rhythms Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Additional Details Scrub color: No specific requirement No on-call requirement Why This Opportunity?
