You will also lead a global team of individuals to maximize their potentials and deliver innovative new products to market.Qualified applicants will need to reside in the Gainesville, GA area or be willing to relocate.Key DeliverablesWorks safely and supports safety within their team across the organization, timely completion of projects and reports, EBITB, Lean Sigma project savings, Conversion Costs, Budget attainment, Forecasting, Project deliverables and timeliness, Days to market, R&D Cost Budget attainment.Key ResponsibilitiesResearchDevelop a deep understanding of packaged gas distribution and management equipment technologies and applicationsMonitor emerging technologies and applications, identify opportunities for new products, product enhancements, and potential applications for existing products and technologiesMaintain awareness and deep understanding of competitive portfolio (design, cost, technologies, features/benefits)Proactively recommend new products and features/benefits to existing productsPrioritize the development activities that that align with HPG's product development roadmapProduct DevelopmentPartner with BU leadership on the project selection process and creating a longer-term product roadmapCollaborate with Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, and key stakeholders to define product requirements, features/benefits, target costs, and manufacturing processesLead the global product development process (stage gate), driving process improvements, managing timelines, budgets, and resources; bringing new products to market quickly while meeting the specified requirementsProvide project management expertise and guidance to accomplish targeted development schedules and milestonesBuild strong relationships with cross-functional leaders to remove roadblocks and improve productivityRespond to market and internal feedback with evolutions and modificationsTeam ManagementDirectly manage the U.S. based product engineering team and act as global leader of the Gas Equipment engineering team: managing resource assignments, project guidance and oversight, talent development, capability matrixCultivate an environment that encourages team members to understand customer needs and drive innovationLead staffing initiatives to recruit and retain top talentOversee performance assessment process of departmentEducation/RequirementsThrives in solving problems and finding creative solutions. Uses skillsets to drive innovation and change that provides better superior value to our customers.10+ years of product design/engineering experienceB.S.
