Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: - Work with a varied schedule in the Progressive Care Unit - Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs - Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team - Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians - Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities - Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records - Evaluate patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes - Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel - Participate in unit shared leadership and quality improvement activities - Must possess current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure - BLS certification required - Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required - Experience in acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in specialty area - Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to work area - Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred - Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient care - Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides progressive care unit services as part of their acute care offerings.
