If so, we have an exciting position for you!Locations: Various throughout MinnesotaMust Reside in MinnesotaSummaryDAWSON is currently seeking applicants for Dental Assistant positions located throughout the state of Minnesota in support of Medical Readiness Services for the Minnesota Army National Guard (MNARNG). Services will be performed in mobile and portable treatment environments at the client's location of choice throughout Minnesota. Work is primarily on weekends, with occasional work on weekdays, and all work is performed on a part-time, "as needed" basis to support Soldier medical and dental readiness requirements. DAWSON provides health readiness services to help maintain a deployable military force for the MNARNG.LOCATION: Various throughout MinnesotaHOURLY WAGE: $32.00Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport sterilization, infection prevention, and biohazard control procedures in clinical treatment areas.Assist dentists with dental documentation and Service member dental readiness processing activities.Prepare and maintain mobile or portable dental treatment areas and equipment.Ensure compliance with OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards and PPE requirements.Provide digital x-rays (Bitewings, Periapicals, and Panographs)Complete event setup, teardown, and maintenance of workstation equipment.Assist with yearly examination/screening and ensure accurate charting on Military formsScan through the documentation to identify the Soldier's required needsSafeguard all patient informationEnsures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulationsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsActive Dental Assistant certification (CDA, RDA, EDDA, EFDA)CPR/BLS certificationA valid US driver's licenseExcellent customer service skills and experience interacting with difficult clienteleUtilization of universal precautions for patient care1+ years' experience in a dental settingAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quicklyAbility to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately at an adequate speedMust submit no less than two professional references with a resumePreferred QualificationsActive Minnesota Dental Radiographer certificationActive DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)Familiarity with military dental documentationPhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentOccasionally required to standOccasionally required to walkContinually required to sitContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityContinually required to talk or hearWhile performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loudDAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/VEVRAA federal contractor.
