Project Manager - Commercial Flooring

Description: Summary: Bonitz, Inc., an employee-owned Commercial Interiors Company, is looking for a full time Project Manager. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and will be responsible for conducting their work in a professional, accurate, and timely manner. This individual is someone who wants to join a continuously growing organization and will work as part of a team in a unique and fun environment. Must have ability to work independently with little direction, as well as collaborate with other team members to accomplish short and long-term tasks in a time sensitive manner. Position Essential Duties: Acts as single point of contact and holds responsibility for all aspects of installation projects, from inception to final close-out and invoicing. Plans, coordinates, and oversees all tasks, critical dates, client and third-party interface and relations, as well as performance quality and customer satisfaction. Manages General Contractor (GC) relationships, attends construction meetings, and coordinates with GC to maintain project schedule. Ability to plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the specific project you are working. Oversee field operations (manpower and installations) to guarantee the work is done per plans, project specifications, and completion schedule. Prepares and issues Installers work orders. Manages the completion of punch-list and issuance of the warranty and maintenance files to the GC. Ensure the appropriate profitability of each project. Coordinate multiple installation crews and maintain job schedules. Verify quality of installation, work performance, and work order completion. Requirements: Basic Requirements: Strong creative and critical thinking Strong written and verbal communication Excellent customer service skills Self-Starter with strong time management and organization skills Proficient math and analytical skills Proficient in reading and understanding plans/drawings, specs, contracts, scopes of work, addendums, RFI’s, etc. Ability to work with initiative and independence, as well as in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: 2-5 years’ experience preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Previous commercial flooring experience Bachelor’s Degree (experience considered in lieu of education) Additional Skills and Knowledge: Willingness to evolve. Ability to work with initiative and independence, as well as team environment. Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety. Ability to take care of customer needs while following company procedures.
