Business Data Analyst

Data Analyst (Python and SQL) Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid - 3 days onsite) Job Type: 6-month Contract-to-Hire Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday Pay Rate: $38-$45 per hour (W2) Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Data Analyst to support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision making for a growing team in Nashville. This role follows a hybrid schedule, with three days onsite and the remaining time worked remotely. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working directly with data, writing strong SQL, and using Python to analyze trends and solve real business problems. The role starts as a six-month contract with a clear path to full-time conversion for the right candidate. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate those needs into clear, actionable insights. Day-to-day work includes writing SQL queries, validating and transforming data, performing analysis in Python, and helping stakeholders understand what the data is telling them. Responsibilities Extract and analyze data from relational databases using SQL Perform data analysis and manipulation using Python (including Pandas) Build reports and ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot issues Document assumptions and logic behind data processes Support existing reporting and analytics workflows Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role Strong SQL skills Hands-on experience using Python for data analysisComfortable working with imperfect or incomplete data Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences Experience with business reporting or operational analytics is important Experience with data visualization or BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus but not required Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment is beneficial Offer This role offers a competitive Nashville market rate, a hybrid work schedule, meaningful analytical work, and a strong opportunity to convert to a full-time position.
