Forklift OperatorFood ManufacturingJoin an established food manufacturing facility that produces farm-fresh fruit and vegetable products. In this role, you safely operate a sit-down forklift to support production and shipping, ensure accurate staging and movement of finished goods and supplies, and maintain a clean, compliant work area in a GMP environment. ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down forklift to remove full pallets of product from production lines in a safe and efficient manner. Assist the shipping department, including scanning product and materials as required. Stage finished product and cans for production and labeling lines, ensuring supplies are available to keep production running smoothly. Verify that all pallets are properly tagged before removing them from production lines. Complete a daily forklift inspection checklist at the start of each shift and document any issues. Bail cardboard and plastic as needed to support recycling and waste management processes. Maintain good housekeeping standards and keep all assigned work areas clean and organized. Perform all assigned work in accordance with established specifications, instructions, and requirements. Consistently meet production standards and productivity expectations on assigned tasks. Stand or sit for up to 8 or more hours per shift and bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties. Essential SkillsProven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment. Ability to safely operate forklifts and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled environment. Familiarity with inventory processes, including basic inventory handling and tracking. Capability to work in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment and follow strict cleanliness and handling procedures. Ability to stand or sit for up to 8+ hours per shift and to bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail to ensure pallets are correctly tagged, scanned, and staged. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently. Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working closely with food products in a manufacturing or processing facility. Experience using scanning equipment for shipping, receiving, or inventory. Demonstrated ability to maintain organized, clean work areas in compliance with housekeeping standards. Comfort working with checklists and documentation for equipment inspections and daily tasks.
