The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing social work research, supporting the College's mission of preparing professionals to enhance human well-being, and managing a significant budget and endowment. As the chief academic and executive officer, the Dean will oversee a large faculty and staff, guide accreditation and assessment efforts, and represent the College both within the university and the broader profession. Key responsibilities include fostering student success, leading with a unifying vision, expanding research productivity, and academic partnerships, and driving strategic initiatives in community engagement, experiential learning, and job placement.Applicants for the Dean position at the company's College of Social Work must be nationally recognized scholars, eligible for tenure at the rank of full professor, with a proven track record of leadership at an R1 institution. The role requires a deep commitment to excellence in social work education and research, strong administrative and strategic planning skills, and a history of successful faculty development and organizational leadership. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated ability in fundraising, community partnership building, and stakeholder engagement, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication, and consensus-building skills.
